    Original 1918 USANITE pocket compass marked “ENG. DEPT. U.S.A. 1918.” The compass is over 100 years old and is still working. The needle moves freely and points north. It has the original hinged metal case, readable face and natural age-related wear and patina. This was made for the U.S. Engineering Department during the World War I era. Great piece for a military collector, antique collector or display. Dated 1918 Marked USANITE U.S. Engineering Department marking Working compass Hinged case opens and closes
